CCVillage Preschool Themes
CCVillage monthly activity plans include an activity calendar with activities based around popular preschool themes. Such Pre-K themes help children to explore the
world around them as they learn. Some themes are found in daily life, such as transportation and mittens. Other themes, such as polar bears, are meant to foster
curiosity in the bigger world we live in.
While we do repeat popular themes, most of the activities will be new each time we cover a theme. We repeat songs frequently because it is more fun for the children
to sing songs they know. This makes children feel more successful and helps to reduce inhibitions some children have about singing in front of others.
When we started CCVillage.Com in August 2003, we covered only one theme per month. As we developed the program further, our program has centered around one new theme
per week. In addition to the regular monthly themes, we have covered many holidays not listed. We have compiled the following list of the themes we have covered in
